  1. Finish Animal Farm introduction.
  2. Old Major Speech desk work.
    1. What are the problems with humans?
    2. What words would you use to characterize Old Major's speech?
    3. Is there a difference between persuasion and manipulation?
    4. If I exaggerate or present only one side of an issue, am I being manipulative? What if it is for a greater good? In other words, what if I can't motivate people unless I exaggerate?

    1. Make three columns on your desk: challenge, Christian belief, Igbo belief, and effect.
    2. Identify an Igbo belief that is being challenged by the Christians and the effect of this challenge. I have included an example below.
    3. Also, come up with a list of the five best words to describe Mr. Brown and Reverend Smith. The author presents them as contrasting approaches to spreading the Christian faith.
