Big Idea: What does it mean to be human?

Daily Writing: Look at Creon's speech (545-575) about being king. What does he mean when he says, "I have no longing for the name of king. I prefer to live like one."




Agenda:
  1. You will be paired with another student. It is your job to fill out the who, what, where, when, and why of the crime of Laius's murder. You will create a poster for this activity.
    1. Who are the suspects? (give info about each one)
    2. What were the circumstances of the crime? (give details)
    3. When was the crime committed?
    4. Where did the crime take place?
    5. Why was the crime committed? (give different reasons for the different suspects)
  2. Class discussion based on your questions and your points of confusion.
