Reading: We are currently reading The Hobbit.

Agenda:

1. Read for 10 minutes
2. Choose a partner to work with. Compare your charts.
1. Identify the most important passages about Thorin that help you decide what kind of king/ruler Thorin is.
2. List these most important passages on your desk.
3. Look at your three words to describe a king/ruler. How does Thorin rate on each of these factors?
3. English Journal #6 Kings and Rulers
1. Describe what makes a good king.
2. Evaluate how well Thorin fits this description.
3. Compare him to Odysseus using the information from your last essay.
4. Complete the Reading Notes document on Google Classroom.
