Play Timeline

Big Idea: What does it mean to be human?

After today I should be able to: 

Reading: You are currently reading a book of your choice. It should be done by the second week of December.


Agenda:

  1. Read with your group lines 150-272 of Part Two.
    1. Write a one-sentence summary of what happened on that page. Focus on getting the gist of the action.
  2. Timeline of the play
    1. With your partner, try to come up with a timeline of the events described in the play. The events don't necessarily come in order.
      1. One timeline should be of the events that occurred in Corinth, where Oedipus says that he is from.
      2. The other timeline should start with the birth of Laius and Jocasta's son.
  3. Try to draw a diagram of the scene of the crime.
  4. Watch more of the play.
