- IMPORTANT DUE DATE: You need to be finished with your first book by February 3rd. Today we will create a daily reading goal.
- Fill out the reading progress form.
- Tossing Lines
- Divide the class into two groups.
- Do you have a word you can not pronounce or you do not know?
- Toss the object around the group. When it is thrown to you, you will say your line.
- Keep going until everyone has said their line two times or more.
- Everyone will write down as many lines as they can remember.
- Repeat the previous steps with group 2.
- Script in your hand.

- Go around the circle. Each person will read until they reach a period or semicolon.

- Fill out the MSND graphic organizer. Look for the characters mentioned so far. Who are they trying to control? Why?
- Add to your earlier summary. What is happening at the beginning of the play?
- If there is time, we will play a Quizlet Live! game to help us get to know the characters.
