After today I should be able to: understand the difference between two characters and how it affects the plot.

Agenda:

1. Read silently for 15 minutes.
2. Tribal views of manhood as background for the novel.
3. When does Okonkwo toe the line and when does he cross the line?
1. Divide up the chapters amongst your group.
2. Return to your seat and write down Okonkwo's thoughts and actions for the chapters you selected.
3. After the designated amount of time, rejoin your group.
4. Sort Okonkwo's thoughts and actions into two groups: those that "toe the line" and those that "cross the line."
