 Big Idea: What does it mean to be human?

After today I should be able to: 

Reading: You will read The Count of Monte Cristo over the next few weeks.

• Week 1: Chapters 1-15
• Week 2: Chapters 16-33
• Week 3: Chapters 34-42
• Week 4: Chapters 43-55
• Week 5: Chapters 56-71
• Week 6: 72-End

Agenda:

2. Reading plan
1. Each week you will get a reading grade out of 100 points. If you read all 100 pages, then you receive the 100 points.
2. You will receive one "Free Pass" that will allow you to receive all 100 points even if you don't completely finish.
3. Each week you will receive an infographic that previews the main plot events for that week to help with comprehension.
4. You will need to read at least fifteen pages a day, every day, including the weekends. You will have enough time in class each day to get through that day's reading. You will only have to read on the weekends or read extra at home if you don't want to read on the weekend.
3. I will reduce your vocabulary homework to two sessions rather than three to help you have time to read.
