3. Caderousse and Morrel
1. Create a line graph that shows the ups and downs of Caderousse and Morrel's life so far. Think of their as a scale of one to ten. When is life going well and when is life going poorly?
2. Identify the high and low point for Caderousse. When does he seal his fate in the discussion with the priest?
3. What is Morrel's lowest point? His highest point?
4. Look for quotes about justice or revenge in chapter sixteen. Write one down with the page number.
5. Using this digital copy of the novel, search for the word "purse." A red silk purse keeps showing up in the novel. Trace its path up to chapter 16. Who first had the purse? Where is the purse now?
