Agenda:
  1. If you ever get confused, you can check out the play map.
  2. Please fill out the reading progress form for this week.
  3. Book Review format
    1. Paragraph 1: Identify the author, title, and main conflict. Introduce why someone should read this book.
    2. Paragraph 2: Tell the beginning and middle of the plot. Where does the book take place? How does the author set up the conflict? How do characters change?
    3. Paragraph 3: Choose one big idea this book makes you think about. Use examples from the book.
    4. Your book review is due by Wednesday.
  4. Begin your literary analysis project with a partner.
    1. Read the passage out loud. One person should be Hermia and the other Lysander.
    2. Try to paraphrase each line. Try to paraphrase word by word. Your paraphrase may be longer than the original passage since Shakespeare leaves out ideas.
    3. Use the definitions at the bottom of the page.
    4. Check your paraphrase against the answer key.
